Sunday

Holy Eucharistic Liturgy (9am GMT/BST): The central worship service held each Sunday. The oblation is a service offered up by the clergy to heaven, through material elements, in hope of forgiveness of sins and of an answer to prayer.
Sunday School (Assyrian & English classes, during the Holy Eucharistic Liturgy): These are small classes designed to develop and nurture young children to have a basic knowledge of God and to prepare them for the central worship service held each Sunday. Held in classrooms on the first floor of St Mary's Cathedral.
Monthly English language Eucharistic Service (4pm GMT/BST): The Holy Eucharistic Offering in English is held at St Mary’s Cathedral every month. For details concerning the next service, please contact us on stmarys@uk.acote.church. 

Tuesday

Assyrian Bible Studies – ages 16+ (7pm GMT/BST): The collective group study of the Holy Bible including questions and fellowship in Assyrian.

Wednesday

Senior's lunch (11:30am GMT/BST): If you are a pensioner, please join us for our weekly seniors' lunch at St. Mary's Cathedral.
Choir practice (7pm GMT/BST): The cathedral choir is directed by Mrs Ashtar Abraham and practices take place weekly. If you would like to join, please send an email to stmarys@uk.acote.church.

Thursday

Intermediate Assyrian language class (7:30pm GMT/BST): If you possess a basic knowledge of the Assyrian alphabet, we invite you to attend our weekly Assyrian language classes.
Beginners Assyrian language class (9pm GMT/BST): If you're new to the Assyrian language and have no prior education in it, we welcome you to our beginners' class held weekly.

Friday

English Bible Studies - ages 12+ (7.30pm GMT/BST): The collective group study of the Holy Bible including questions and fellowship in English. If you wish to join via Zoom and require the login details, please send an email to stmarys@uk.acote.church.

Saturday

Edessa Assyrian Language School for those aged between 4 and 17 (10:30am GMT/BST): Encourage your children to connect with their heritage by enrolling them in our Assyrian language classes! Designed for young learners, our weekly sessions provide a fun and educational environment for children to explore and learn their mother tongue. Join us and help your child embrace their cultural roots.

Membership and online services

At St Mary's Cathedral, the annual contribution (formerly known as membership) is up to the discretion of the member - 2 Corinthians 9:7, 'Each one must do just as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.' May God accept your donations and hear your prayers.

Edessa Assyrian Language School

Assyrian classes run every Saturday from 10:30am until 1:30pm at St Mary's Cathedral.

Annual contribution for enrolment (less than £1 per week, to help cover teaching materials and extra costs):

First child: £50
Second child: £40
Third child: £30
Fourth child: £20
